International Environmental Project Olympiad


Dear Students and Educators:

The IDEA Society connects you to an ascendant program based on a scientific approach to enhance several core skills in students no matter what discipline they may study, but leading to a sustainable environment.

These core competencies include, but are not limited to:

  • Creative Problem Solving through Scientific Point Of View
  • Critical Thinking for Environmental Subjects
  • Participation in Finding Alternative, Eco-Friendly Energy Sources
  • Developing Projects to Eliminate Polluting Agents
  • Preparation of Groundwork for a Recovery Process
  • Interdisciplinary Studies to Solve Environmental Issues

Middle and high school students (grades 6-12) in the Southeastern United States (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee) are invited to submit an original project on the problems of the environment.

The above global humanistic theme of the INEPO Contest, `Creating a Sustainable Environment,`  incorporates, but is not limited to, the following subjects:

  • Environmental Chemistry
  • Environmental Physics
  • Environmental Biology
  • Environmental Health
  • Environmental Social Sciences
  • Environmental Visual Arts

International education is promoted via this program and the winners will be promoted to attend the international contest participated by 44 countries.

Contest Awards

  • 1st Place: All-Expenses-Paid trip to Turkey for the student and sponsoring teacher to compete in the international competition.
  • 2nd Place: Trip to Turkey (**All-Expenses-Paid except for international airfare to and from Istanbul, Turkey for the student and sponsoring teacher) plus a $150 gift card (Teacher will get $75)
  • 3rd Place: Trip to Turkey (**All-Expenses-Paid except for international airfare to Istanbul, Turkey for the student and sponsoring teacher) plus a $100 gift card (Teacher will get $50)
  • 4th Place: $75 gift card (Teacher will get $50)
  • 5th Place: $50 gift card (Teacher will get $25)
  • 6th through 10th Places: $25 gift card (both students and teachers)
